The deserved winners were announced on Friday, 29 November 2019 at 'Build It Magazine’s 30th birthday Gala Dinner at the Hilton Bankside in London. The glittering evening event recognised innovation and excellence in the custom and self-build home sector.
Leading custom build enabler Custom Build Homes helped Long Four Acres Ltd, co-owners Kevin and Karen Keable, to enable the development at the Long Four Acres site in Mulbarton, Norfolk through the provision of consultancy, professional support and estate agency helping to provide the 15 serviced plots.
Kevin Keable, Co-Founder at Long Four Acres Ltd, said “You couldn’t go to an ordinary estate agency to sell plots, there is a lot more to it than that. [Custom Build Homes] offer more than just selling the plot. We are grateful to them”, he added.
The custom build site offers sizeable plots with outline planning permission and a relaxed design code giving the purchaser more than usual flexibility when creating and designing their dream home to suit their needs. Kevin and Karen Keable had a vision for something beautiful, green, spacious and architecturally interesting and it certainly is.
Homes at Long Four Acres are already underway with the first homeowner already moved in and the second homeowner expected to be in before Christmas, with more to come as a number of architects have received planning permission – exciting times at Long Four Acres.
On the development site winning the award Tom Connor, Head of Operations at Custom Build Homes, said “Long Four Acres acts as an important example of how landowners can increase and diversify local housing supply by giving people the opportunity to live in a home they love.”
