Create your home in County Durham

Custom Build Homes appointed by leading partnership development company to support custom build development in County Durham.

We are delighted to announce that Custom Build Homes has been appointed by its shareholders Bloc Group, to support their ongoing custom build housing project at Village Farm in Murton, County Durham.

Bloc Group, who are one of the UK most established partnership developer are delivering the development under their “DreamPlot” trading style and is a joint venture between them and Harworth Estates, originally British Coal.

The site offers 10 serviced building plots with planning permission for detached customisable homes and garages. Plot purchasers are able to either customise the already approved house designs on each plot, or work with Custom Build Homes to design a new home that suits and apply for its approval by varying a condition, meaning a decision on new house designs can be sought in under six weeks.

To date, six plots have been sold and another is sold subject to contract. A really exciting development is taking shape with well-designed new homes that vary in size and shape. As they’ve been designed within the parameters set by the existing approval, they are different, yet sit well with each other, making the community work well as a whole.

Our experts are really excited to input into the story of Village Farm and support the final three purchasers to realise their dream new home on the site by facilitating the design and creation of high-quality homes and seeing this exciting development completed.
